For general video editing tips and tricks you should check out Videomaker Magazine. It is a great magazine with a wealth of info for the novice or the pro. Their website has many articles from back issues that cover everything from purchasing a cam to burning a DVD and everything in between. Every issue has How To articles, and the website has video tutorials.
Best of all, anyone can now access this information. In the past, you had to be a subsriber of the magazine and enter a username/password to get most of the info. Now it's open to everyone.
I suggest everyone check it out, sign up for their free eNewsletter, and maybe even subscribe. (No, I don't work for them.)
