"Titles"

Post by thequestionman »

I will use word title, for lack of a better word, but not nesessarily the way Corel uses it.
Here's what I want to do:

title1 [fade], title2 [fade] ... first video clip......last video clip, blank screen, rolling credits [bottom to top], blank screen, the words "the end'.

I can get the video, no problem, but before and after the video is the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

The "problem" with terminology is that there are two sorts of titles in two different parts of the program, and both are valid in VS! The one I think you are talking about are titles as inserted in a project in the Editing module, and that consist of words, animated or not, used to describe or present the video. The other "title" is actually a main, edited video clip/project which appears in the main menu of the burning module (which has 'titles' and 'chapters' as in the main title of a book, broken down into chapters).

But on the assumption made above that you are talking about the first type, then to insert titles before and after the actual video itself (if you don't want it over the video itself), you need to insert a colour panel or panels (or indeed photo) before and after the video in the editing timeline. You can choose a colour from the little drop down window immediately below the Audio and Share tabs across the top of screen (roughly in the dead centre of the top). The word 'Video' normally appears in that little window by default. But if you click on the down arrow, you will see down the list the word 'Color'. Click on that, select a colour and drag and drop it into the timeline.

You can extend the length of time the panel (or photo) will appear on screen by clicking on it and simply pulling the heavy yellow bar at the right hand end, further right. Or else you can adjust the length using the little clock to the bottom right of the preview screen.

Then of course you click in the Title track of the timeline, and follow the prompts to insert your wording in the preview screen. Add what animation you require, and hey presto, it's done!
