Hi folks,
A few days ago one of us was kind enough to propose something I could try to resolve an installation issue I had, namely, the inaboility of my Video Studio 7 to intialize. The application was telling me it was unable to "find function address iplGetLibversion". It called this error "IPLib load error". When I click on OK then it specifies that the "application failed to intitalize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application".
So far, I turned off the virus scan, cleared the registry of all those spy apps, and rebooted, but the same issues would come back to me.
I have also contacted Ulead tech support, but am still to hear from them.
Can someone help.
Thanks
JKB

I think you are either missing the Intel Image Processing Library DLL, or you have an old version that is interferring. Sometimes when two applications ship with the same DLL, conflicts arise when they use different versions with different entry points.
Try Start -> Search -> Find Files, and search for both IPL.DLL and UVIPL.DLL. Switch the result window to Detail view if it doesn't already show file details (file location, date & size), and take note of where these files are. Right-click the file, select Properties, and go to the tab that displays the version information.
I would consider renaming all but the oldest version(s) of the file(s) to have a non-DLL extension if you find that different versions exist on your PC. You may also have to move the one file you decide to keep to the \WINDOWS or \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 directory so that any program that needs it is able to find it.
