Re-Installation problems

Upgraded my system, and when I tried to use VS 11+ (upgrade), Movie Wizard did not work properly, Though the VS10+ worked fine. No preview, no positon wheel function. I gave up, and started using another product, which let me put 2 hrs of video on a single layered DVD (for SL replication), which had perfect results, (no pixeling). Reason: their render engine VBR worked like the commercal DVD's. Ulead, when you use what I found on this forum, to control the VBR's; max, avg, min. Never really worked/changed, no matter how how high I set the average. So I left VS11 alone for about 5 months. Last week, I bought a LG Blu-Ray burner (finally one under $300). The other program, does not let you make Blu-Ray menus, so back to VS11. Tried re-installing VS11and VS10, and I kept getting Videostudio.msi, error 1612. (folder was deleted, when new processor/ mb; was added). Used regit etc. Finally Googled it, and in German, I was told to use; Windows install cleanup. Downloaded, ran the program; saw the VS11 on it, removed it. Now VS11 loaded perfect.
Back to Video Wizard, no peview, wheel function again. Read forum, loaded all XP update packs from Microsoft; still same problem, read forum, installed new Direct X updates, and presto !!! Had Blu-ray problem. Will make Ooher post, on it..
