Tech email does not work

Post by CG-Eng »

Is this working for anyone? I keep getting two pages, back and forth, and the screen never settles down. Happens in both IE and Firefox. I go to MyAccount, ask tech support.

Wild guess - this has not to do with the WinDVD program, but with the Corel site?

Assuming site: I am guessing you are having trouble sending an email to tech support?

Assuming that: then, in "Your Account",
click "Ask Tech Support" (left side column , bottom),
click "Answers" tab
ask a question.

When it gives possible answers,
click on an answer, THEN
click on the center tab "E-mail Corel".

Fill in everything including a valid serial number.

etc

or are you stuck after that? Let me know...

EDIT: check that answer.

I tried to go beyond that and I'm getting a scripting error - same on both IE and FF
Fatal error: Unable to open E:\RIGHTNOW\scripts\rightnow.cfg\scripts/enduser/home.php in Unknown on line 0
target: (deleted because it was so long)

EDIT: Maybe they're just doing maintenance or are down or something...
I PMed Steve to look at it, but there's probably nothing he can do.

I've been having this same problem for a week. I've been trying to reply back to an open support thread, but I get the exact same error when I try and use the "e-mail Corel" link and submit the form.

Naturally, I can't just directly reply back to the tech support person I received the e-mail from... :x

Perhaps if you post the problem you are having with the software here, we might be able to offer some technical support.

Yeah, I just tried replying back to an earlier incident of mine and it just flashes back. Goes nowhere.

You could always try calling the "info for paid support number": "To find out more about Corporate Support Packages & Services, please contact a Service Account Manager at (613) 728-6807 (North America)." just to see what they would say.

Clarification

Post by CG-Eng »

Perhaps I should clarify. I do exactly what Kris says:

>> Assuming that: then, in "Your Account",
>> click "Ask Tech Support" (left side column , bottom),

As well as clicking on the same thing on the right side. A new page comes up, and keeps reloading again and again.

Sorry - what "same thing on the right side"?

click answers
click on an answer
click on e-mail Corel tab
fill it out and click on suggested responses
BANG

But in any case, I can't do anything since I am not Corel and this is just a user to user forum. Perhaps you could just state your question here, as Steve suggested.

I do have another post with the actual question (SPDIF not selectable). Just wanted to get the website to work.

There is an "Ask Tech Support" button on both the left side and right side of the screen. If I click either of them, it basically hangs my browser, keeping reloading the same 2 pages back and forth.

I can't click on answers, since the page keeps reloading.

I don't know how I can make it any clearer.

Yep, that's where I get a scripting error. Site's down, I guess. Nothing I can do about it.
