cannot start the video graph

Post by thomasone »

I purchased studio 11.5 plus box version, the program works good except for when I try to capture my videos from my camcorder. Every time I select capture video, studio freezes up and I get the message cannot start the video graph. My camcorder is analog so i'm using dazzle dvc 90 (made by pinnacle)as my capture device. I have upgrade my dvc 90 driver, my capture device is being detected by studio, and i'm able to capture images, but not videos, I am using windows vista serv. pack 1. can anyone please help me out? I went out and bought a brand new computer just for studio 11 and now I still can't get it to work right.
Thank very much

Unfortunately the Pinnacle device will have been designed specifically to NOT play nice with anything but the software that came with it.

As with most of these devices and regardless of the manufacturer use the software that came with the device and once you have your footage on the computer bring it in to VS for editing.

And calling the product dealt with on this forum just "Studio" only further confuses the issue. The Pinnacle product is just "Studio", whereas the Ulead/Corel product is "Video Studio"... Even more confusing when the two products have basically kept in step with each other's version numbers ... although Pinnacle has just announced the general release of Studio 12, while we are still awaiting release dates for Video Studio 12 outside Japan...
