I installed DVDMF 6 on my Vista because VS11 is not working, everything is working well but when I begun to record something from my TV tuner in Mpeg2 format the preview is suddenly slowed! Now the rendered movie in itself is not slow once saved on the hard disk, what's the problem here?
Do I have to change my mpeg2 codecs or it's a known issue that can't be repaired?
PS:VS 9 under XP had a very smooth preview in normal or record mode and even in full screen while recording,PowerDirector 6 under Vista is not slowing down preview in record mpeg2 mode...
DVDMF 6 slow preview in recording
I assume we are talking about "regular" standard definition MPEG-2 files?
I suspect some slight corruption in your captured file (i.e. something probably went wrong during capture). Do you have any old MPEGs that were captured with your XP system? If your older files work OK, then there is a problem with this particular file.

The Power Director codec may be more tolerant... I've had (corrupt?) MPEG-2 files that played fine with Windows Media Player, yet caused the Corel/Ulead programs to choke....PowerDirector 6 under Vista is not slowing down preview in record mpeg2 mode...
