DVD WON'T PLAY

Hi,
I'm new to this forum
Ive just wrote a documentary onto dvd with my ' Movie Factory 3 SE '
It will play on my pc's power dvd, But it won't play on my main dvd player that i use to watch my dvds.
Any suggestions

What kind of media did you record it to? Some set players don't read formats such as DVD+R or DVD+,- RW. Your set manual should indicate which formats it will be able to read. *Generally speaking its been tested that from most to least compatible goes in this order: DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, and DVD+RW. * source- maximum pc spring 2004

And if that don't work try a better brand disc.

Hi,
Have managed to get it to play now
Fiddled and fiddled some more with the settings and it worked
The picture quality is good, but slightly how do i say.. the edges of things on the screen dont look smooth, Edgy(pixely)
Do you know how i can solve this, better discs perhaps?
Have you any suggestions.
