DVD MovieFactory 6+ (Menu problem)

Post by DSHolloway »

On play back of a DVD with a main menu it fails to change from the main menu and just cycles. Tried all funcion of the DVD controller but nothing triggers it to change. If I create a DVD without a main menu it works OK and changes through the various clips without problem.

Also DVD-RW fail to record, Unknow Error.

DVD MovieFactory 6+ SN 321A2-66000-00355698 Version 6.00.019

First thank you for your response. I have previously completed the details as best possible of my PC and hardware but have updated graphics card details to my new card (ASUS H2600 Series) and new monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 226CW). I have only recently upgraded my DVD MovieFactory from V5 to 6+, I also have Ulead MediaStudio Pro 8 V. 8.10.0039.0 . Past experience with both packages has led me to question their stabilty. My burners are Plextor PX708A & HP DVD 840.
My current two problems are: When a DVDMF main menu template is selected and the disc (DVD-R) is burned only the template menu plays back on a DVD Player (have tried other players with same result); menu buttons for the template are selected but have no action on playback. Original file structure AVI, edited with MediaStudio Pro 8 and MPG 2 created. MPG 2 then taken into DVDMF; if no main menu template is selected there is no problem, playback OK. Have used several DVD-R discs and decided to write to DVD-RW to avoid wasting discs, however DVD-RWs fail to complete burn cycle and dispay 'Unspecified Error' message at the end of the process.
I hope that I have provided enough info on this occasion, please advise if more is needed.
