I want to output the result of a cool_3D-project to an .avi-file (DV-type 1 - interlaced). I have the choice between Field order A or Field Order B.
Later on I 'll integrate this .avi-file in an uvs-project with Bottom Field First.
My question is: what does that mean: Field Order A? Is Field Order A= Bottom Field First or is it Top Field First?
I read the manual, read-me-file and and I did a search on the forum, with no result.
What is field order A?

There is an excellent explanation of Field Orders found HERE. Generally Field Order A is LFF (Lower Field First).
The Field Order names or numbering is what confuses most people. This is not a naming convention that is "written in stone", and some software or hardware manufacturers interpret this differently. For a good explanation (and maybe some further confusion
) go HERE and scroll down to the Upper, Top, Odd, 1 or A? section. In that article it even specifies that Ulead Products refer to Field A as Lower Field .
Other programs that may use Field A as Upper Field, or even the hardware may read the Upper Field first.
In an attempt to keep it straight I've just remembered for Ulead it's Bottom to Top, and A comes before B, so Field A is Lower or Bottom Field..
