Is this possible? Is there any way to duplicate an existing text field and changing the text style?

Also can the text fields have artword added to them like shadow, artwork gradient fills etc??

Only if you have Ulead PhotoImpact, since the templates in VS use a proprietary Ulead format which only PhotoImpact can edit.

Hi

If you are talking about creating ¡¥Titles¡¦ or modifying the existing titles from the library.

You can add colours, borders, shadows, create transparent text.
Apply loads of animations.

You can save the titles by dragging them to the library.
Drag them back to the timeline to re-use. Simply change the text used.

But if you are talking about the text menu in the burner module then that¡¦s a different matter.

Like Ken has said you need PhotoImpact to be able to make major changes to DVD Menus. Here you have a choice between:
Tutorial: PhotoImpact: Creating DVD Menu from scratch
and
VS9 & PI11: Creating a Custom DVD Menu Layout
