Hi again all...
Another question, for another project.
I've got a segment in a 30sec vid, in the top left corner I have an image appear for 15 secs, then replaced by another for the further 15 secs of the project. In top right corner, I have a title, visible for 15 secs, and then gone, this drops in. Bottom right I have 30 images, each appearing for 1 sec, and lower left I have another title for 15 secs, flying in, replaced by another title for 15 secs. However, the images are appearing terribly blurred, and unsharp. I have done a test render, at 8000kbps, and still the problem remained. I have tried keeping titles from overlapping images, and still. Checked 'keep aspect ratio', and again, same problem. It does however seem that images will suddenly come into focus on the last frame, which is a bit puzzling.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance...

Some people have problems with the sharpness of images when inserted into VS. Others, like myself, can import them directly from the camera with no problems.
A recommendation is to use an image editor first to get the images close to your project's size.
Also, make sure your Image Resampling (in Preferences) is set to Best.

Thanks for the reply.
The images are actually from a still camera, and have added them via the timeline. What is puzzling me, is that I've done this several times before, and things worked out fine...
I tried decreasing image resolution, made sure that I had kept the aspect ratio after insertng, image resampling is set to best, I've even made sure no title text crosses over any images, but still getting the same result...

For those who've been following this thread...
Finally got my images to look a LOT better. I unchecked allow non-square pixels, changed my vid quality from variable to fixed 8000, then moved each image in the overlay track a few pixels left, and then back again to snap to the grid. Also made double sure I'd clicked 'maintain aspect ratio' on each image. While they still didn't look too hot when prviewed on my primary monitor (LCD) they look excellent when output to TV.
I'm not 100% sure what the original problem was, but if it works
Thanks to all who sent suggestions.
(Again with problems posting. Tried on desktop, laptop, in Windows, in Linux, using IE7, IE8 and FireFox...)

Hi
I've used images in overlay before, with titles alongside at 2608x1952.
The one's I used in this project varied, but were pretty close to that, or a little smaller after cropping, etc. There was a suggestion to resize them, which I tried at 25% of their current size, but that didn't seem to make any difference for me, and seeing as I'd been able to use the larger size before, I went back to the originals so I wouldn't have multiple copies of each photo all over the drive.
Hope that sheds a bit of light...
