I just purchased VideoStudio 11 and then found out from tech support I needed VideoStudio 11.5Plus if I wanted to import AVCHD formated files. Great. So I'm trying to find out how to upgrade but can't seem to find the correct area on the ULEAD online store to do this. I see where I can buy the full priced VideoStudio 11.5Plus but not the upgrade path.
Then it dawned on me.... is there no upgrade path? Am I stuck with having to buy full priced the 11.5 Plus right after I purchased version 11 (2 days ago)? I can't believe that this is true. I see a discounted priced for $59.99 but the link takes me to the patch files, not a way to purchase Version 11.5 Plus.
I've used VS since version 9 but now with a new AVCHD camcorder I need AVCHD capability to edit and burn DVDs for storing the video.
Any direction is helpful.
Upgrade Path?

Did you purchase directly from Corel? If so, they have a 30-day money back guarantee, which is an option. However, I don't know how it works if you bought the ESD (downloaded) version.
Good luck,

You will need to talk to Corel anyway, if you bought it from them. They may (and should) allow you just to pay the extra amount for VS11 PLUS instead of just the vanilla VS11 version. Then, when you install the PLUS version, you have to go to the Ulead/Corel site and first download the 6 November 2007 update patch then the 8 November Power Pack. This will upgrade VS11+ to VS11.5+ with a version number of 11.5.0157.2. That is the upgrade path for all of us.
Do not install the top patch, called a Hot Fix, unless you experience the exact problem described in the notes to it, during installation.

Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 Plus is comprised of the VideoStudio 11 Plus program along with the VideoStudio 11 Power Pack and Media One Plus. If you are an existing VideoStudio 11 Plus owner, click on the icon below for your free upgrade. If you purchased VideoStudio 11.5 Plus then you do not need to download the update packs.

Hmmm... Do you mean to say, Steve, that Corel has finally got around to doing a totally new package which installs VS11.5+ in one go, without reference to either the 6 or 8 November updates?
It would be welcome if they had, but strange commercially in the sense that they are working to produce VS12 in the (hopefully) not too distant future...

Yes, but pressing the Buy button still takes me to a download site for the Power Pack, and presumably also for Media One. I have of course long had both. But I still think they sell VS11+ and give links for the other downloads (though it is a bit troubling that there does not seem to be a reference to the 6 November patch, only the 8 November Power Pack). I just wish, in other words, that they would say something like either "This is a completely new package already containing all necessary upgrade patches etc" or, if not "This package consists of VS11+ and links to the necessary updates which convert it to 11.5+"...
