Hello everyone,
I have been using Pinnacle S9 for many years now & I now wish to go the Hi def route. Pinnacle Studio 11 seems to have stability issues (really) so I have been looking at VS11.
During my years with the Pinnacle product , I managed to do a lot of good stuff & found that there is heaps of add ons , like transitions etc available out there for free or purchase.
I guess that none of these will work with VS11??
if not is there much aftermarket stuff like cool transitions or video effects available to use with VS products.
thanks in advance
New to Ulead VS11

I'm not sure about the plug-ins for Pinnacle working with VS, but look here for VS related products:

The BASIC things from studio (ie: background jpg's, menus in the mpg format.... etc) will work with most other NLE's, but that's where it stops. Transitions and such are unique to studio and will not function in other products. In Pinnacle studio 10 and 11 they have even gotten smarter and fixed it so that things like SoundSoap, VitaScene... etc will not work in any other program. In other words if you make the switch then be prepared to leave most of studio 9 behind.
Personally speaking, I jumped the studio ship quite some time ago. Although I don't limit myself to Ulead products either (I use Sony as well). I find that Ulead products (excluding MSP8 which is now discontinued) don't offer the depth that Pinnacle does, but tend to be more stable and complete in what they do offer.
