Interactive Video Project - HELP

Hi,

I'm using VisualStudio 11+ along with all the other graphic programs in the Corel Suite & Adobe.

I've been asked to put together a visual presentation for an award's ceremony. As the nominee's are announced for a specific category, their thumnail picture should appear on the screen, THEN when the winner's name is announced, as they walk to the stage, their LARGE image is displayed. This is for a formal Chamber of Commerce event...in two weeks.

I'm open to any advise on the best program or ideas on creating this? Of course I want the presentation to be outstanding (they just asked me to create this project today...I have already taken the head shots of the nominees).

I would have thought that sort of thing would be more suited to PowerPoint or a similar presentation program. Certainly VS can't do anything more interactive than choosing a menu item!

From one chamber employee to another, I would have to agree with Ken. Since you are just using stills I'd go with the PP.

I figured it out...using some video effects in VisualStudio running behind the pictures....then using actions.

I am not sure what 'actions' you are referring to. But I still can't see how you can expect a video to be 'interactive'. Or are you proposing to stop and start it continuously?

I want a little video movement in the background, nothing "too much" but there are a couple .wmv files the come with Video Studio that I will be using.

I'm using Producer and inserted the video on it's own layer...then the photos will come onto the video....so there's just that little bit of movement. The "stop" action is place and an action is place to go back to the main menu....then I just go onto the next category.

Anyway....are there any other "free" video effects out there to download that are in .wmv or .mov formats? I would like to find a movie spotlight effect.
