Could someone chime in on the status of the Ulead Cool 3D and Production Studio software? I've purchased Cool 3D and now I'm testing Production Studio - but, it appears that nothing is being done on either software - seems like they have sort of fallen into the Ulead dust bin in favor of other products - is that true?
Also, within Cool 3D or Production Studio - can one readily take an Object, for example a Sphere and alter it to include eyes, mouth - to create an emo smiley, for example? I just don't see a way to do this.
Thanks for any input.

Welcome to the forums,
Yes they have fallen into the dustbin. As far as I know, Corel probably is not going to do any further development on them. However I will say this, Cool3D PS, is one of the older programs that seems to run better on my Core2 Duo, Vista machine.
It is possible to create the smiley in C3DPS. You can not alter a sphere, however using for example 3 spheres you can have the head, and eyes. Now for the mouth, creating it with a freehand shape. It's a matter of precise scaling, positioning, and orientation, and is not very easy, but is do-able.

Thanks so much for the input - looking around the web, it's clear that these programs are dustbin bound - although, I really cannot understand why - they are reasonable to buy and relatively easy to use, especially with some of the compositions that are out there - perhaps there are now better programs but I doubt that they are cheaper and so easy to use.
Anyway, bummer - I was hoping I'd find a really active community for this software, but there are some good threads here and a few sites to visit.
Once again, thanks.
PS - actually, one can create a smiley in Production - simply open a sphere and using texture, open an image of a smiley that is the same size as the sphere, here's an output example - gif animation......

The only problem is that the image face is also on the back side of the sphere - is there a way to fix that?
