Need major help! Video due tomorrow for school! VS11
Ok here's my issue. I've made a video that includes clips from a DVD RW, sound and titles. It's about 8 minutes long. Whenever I try to create the video file into WMV format, the progress stops at 95% and then nothing happens. Videostudio doesn't crash and there's no error. There's no video file on my desktop where I've intended to save it. The progress bar just goes away as if I never even clicked on it. I don't understand because I've created numerous videos before and they all worked perfectly. I've tried burning it to a DVD and it gave me an error message right at the end and unfortunately I didn't catch what the error said. I just recently installed the patch and that didn't help. Could there be an error with one of my files?

It certainly sounds as though you have a problem with one of the source files.
Try this which might get you by.
1. Save the current project.
2. Start a new project, import the first video clip and then immediately render it to a new clip (from the share tab)
3. Repeat step 2 for any other source clips until they have all been rendered to new copies.
4. Open Windows Explorer and MOVE (don't delete) the original video clips used in your project
5. Open your saved project from step 1. You will get a message asking you to relink your clips - link them to the new clips created at step 2.
Now see if you are able to create that WMV file.

thanks but i was able to resolve it on my own by doing it exactly as you described until I realized that I had titles and music at the end of the project with no video or image with it (yes i'm a noob). I think that's why at the end it was screwing up. I fixed that and everything worked perfectly. Thanks for your support!sjj1805 wrote:It certainly sounds as though you have a problem with one of the source files.

Having just audio and titles with no video is no reason for your project to fail, but glad you got it finished.
