sound completely gone from timeline and storyboard.

While using Video Studio 11 my sound completely disappeared from the timeline and the storyboard while doing a project. The sound works in Media Player. I have changed nothing and was editing a project. All was fine. The clips are ones I have used before and worked just fine.
Have you any ideas of what has happened?

Thanks for the thought about the mute but that
is the first thing I checked.
I also did a 'split audio' which also didn't play.
