Help with Audio Capture Issue - Pass through to sound card

Post by RedExpress »

Hi,

I've been trying to fix this problem for a while.

I upgraded from VS9 to 11.5, yet to download the patches, but their summary doesn't suggest that they will fix this issue though.

I'm using a Fusion HDTV Composite input device and have done heaps of successful captures with VS9 but now I'm at 11.5 the audio does not capture.

In the Capture Video - Options - Video Properties screen, the section on audio is 'greyed' out and the words 'pass through to sound card' are displayed. No matter how I change the source this does not change. It seems that this is the cause of my problem but I've got no idea of how I might fix things.

I've played around in the system device area etc. but there must be something that is missing or can be changed. I'm running XP if that helps.

Can anyone help?

Don't know if you have tried it or not already but take a look at this link and look for the bit about the Windows Volume Control panel for RECORDING

No Sound

Thanks for the tip.

I'd gone through this previously a few times but this time I changed the preference to CD volume instead of line in. It worked.

Quite frustrating but solved, so thanks for the revisit.
