UNABLE TO SEE SONY DCR-PC109E IN VIDEOSTUDIO 9

I have a SONY DCR-PC109E camcorder attached to an IBM ThinkPad via a USB cable. I am running Windows XP Professional. From Device Manager I can see the camera and it says it is working properly. Using a package called Picture Package, which came with the camera, I can transfer video from the tape in the camera to the computer. When I start VideoStudio 9 it comes up alright, I select DV-to-DVD Wizard, but on the next screen, under Scan/Capture settings, there is nothing in the Device field. Any suggestions greatfully received. Thank you.

Capturing from a digital camcorder with Video Studio works better with a Firewire interface.
You can access the video file that you captured using Picture Package into VS9 by selecting it in the Library and then dragging it into the timeline. You can also edit the file in the library and drag clips into the timeline.
