Adding Music- Voice Corel 11+

Post by alan »

My camcorder is a Canon HG10.

I cannot alter the sound in any way when recording etc. Some times there is quiet a lot of traffic noise and other unwanted sounds when recording.

The only way to get rid of these sounds is to edit them out by means of Corel 11+

This leaves me with a "silent video." Is there any way from this point onwards by using 11+ to add voice and or music to the already "silent Video?"

Yes, click on the Audio Step tab. You can record voice, add CD music, unprotected .mp3 files, .wav, and also use SmartSound Quicktracks. When you have VS open, press F1 and read the manual.

If you wish to record a voice track, I suggest using an excellent freeware program called Audacity. It'll be easier to edit any mistakes that you make.

And apart from using a third party program to record voice, I also use such a program (in my case Wave Editor in Nero) to modulate and trim music rips that I do. You can choose the time for the clip, then apply a fade in or out.

I'm also slowly building my sounds effects library of sounds I record myself on the camcorder.

I just slot them in when needed and loop them if I need more length

Audacity is worthwhile.

I also have been building a library of sounds from my own movies.
These tend to provide very natural replacements for existing sounds that are somehow spoiled - e.g. unwanted background noises. Best of all it's cheap!!
