Youtube question, does anyone know how to import the MP4

high quality version of video file from Youtube into VS10+ timeline? I get an error message about file format. If I convert the MP4 to and AVI or MPEG using SUPER, then you can import the file into VS, but the video and audio is out of sync..Thanks!

Is the converted AVI or MPEG file out of sync when when you play it with Windows Media Player (or when you play the converted file in SUPER)?

Or, does it only go out of sync after editing it with Video Studio?

It looks like the video file someone posted on youtube is actually out of sunc ON yourube. It plays out of sync there online. Sorry for making this post...there is the problem and it is the source file. Would still like to find a way to place a MP4 on the timeline though. Thanks for the attention to my post.

Click on the Insert Media Files icon (looks like an open folder with a down arrow), select Insert Video..., then chose the mp4 file that you want to insert.
