I need SUPER FAST MOTION to make a 3 hour video of the moon about 10 seconds. The playback speed only allows 1000%. Any ideas for making it faster? I'm using 11 Plus.

Render it at maximum speed. Put the resulting video into a new project and speed it up again and then render again. Repeat this process until you have the desired final results. Let us know how it turns out.

Ya, I thought about that. Unfortunately it renders in Super Slow Motion considering it's a 3 hour video. So I was hoping for an alternative but I guess I just have to wait. :x

Only the first couple times, it will get progressively quicker each render. Better get started!!!:P

liquidtension89,

Have you tried "Ron's Secret Powertip"?

First, speed up your clip. Save the project as whatever.

Press Ctrl+N to start a new project.

Select the Insert Media Files icon (looks like an open folder with an arrow pointing down).

Select Insert Video...

Now choose the project you just saved, speed it up, and now render.

It sounds like you're doing a time-lapse video. Usually, that's done by taking a photo every x minutes.

Good luck.

Ya, that was actually the first thing I tried. I would do that once, then speed it up again and then it would be about 1:30 or so. So I needed to speed it up more so I would do the "Secret Powertip" again and it would basically say that it was unreadable. I went ahead and did it the SLOOOOOOW way and it turned out great. I don't know why I didn't think of using the "Secret Powertip" ONLY for the first time and then rendering twice after that...but it's too late now!

Well, if you had that much time on your hands, it must have been relaxing!

Nice video, BTW. It almost looks like a night shuttle launch from a distance.

Don't know why I didn't think of this before, as I have done it this way.

Click on the clip on the timeline that you want to speed up or slow down. Hold the Shift key while you click on the right yellow trim handle, moving it to the left to speed up the clip, or the the right to slow down the clip. As you know the timeline defaults to 1 second increments. By zooming in on the timeline you can adjust those clips by the frame, instead of a percentage if you make the adjustment via Playback Speed.
