VS 8 SE question...

VS 8 SE question...

I have installed the latest version of Divx Codec 6.8 on my comp. Is there anyway to get VS to recognize it? Vs stills says that the codec version is 5.2?
Did 5.2 ship with VS, thanks for any help!!!

VS does not ship with DivX, period. I have DivX 6.8 installed and VS11.5+ recognises it. Can we assume you rebooted at some stage after installing the DivX update?

To add to Ken's great wisdom, VS8SE may not recognize or be able to use a newer version of DivX.

Thanks for the replies, yeah I rebooted still says Divx 5.2 weird. Has to run 6.8 since 5.2 has never been installed, maybe cause Divx didnt update splash page, thanks again.
