Quicktimes files will not play
When I have created a QT file using the save as, the file starts to play then freezes. I hear audio all the time but the frames do not move. I can make the same file a WMV file and it is fine. One of the big reasons I got Ulead was to be able to make both types of files. I have installed patch. Yes I have the updated Quicktimes player.

Welcome to the forums,
Not to nit-pick, but what patch have you installed, and for what version? However the "mov" files created by VS should not "freeze" or stop playing suddenly.
What Compression settings are you using for your Mov file? What are the properties of your source clips?

Ulead 11.5 right out of the box. Install 122507-03. Went back and looked at compression. Default is none. I changed it to Video. That at least played but was very grainy. Tried mpeg4. That works fine. But is that not the same as a mpeg format? What would be the best and fastest compression to use to stream a video for QT. I feel fine doing it in WMV. Just not QT files.

I don't use the QT codec much, but have followed BlackLab's recommendation of using Sorensen Video3, check Prepare for Internet Streaming, and in the drop-down menu select Fast Start. Also I've noticed that there is not much noticeable difference in using a frame size of 352 x 240 and 640 x 480, other than the file sizes.
