DVD-VR Compatibility

Hi,

When I burn my DVD, I want to make it DVD-VR compatable.

I check the DVD-VR Compatable box in UVS.

I have heard however, that disks that are made with DVD-VR
compatibiliy enabled will sometimes not play in standard DVD
players.

Is there any truth in this?

Does producing my DVD with DVD-VR Compatable checked effect
the overall quality of my final DVD in any way?
