Missing plugins for C3d 5.0

Post by woodchuck »

When I purchased VS10+ over a year ago, Cool 3D came with it (version 5.0). I did not use it and recently decided to see what it could do. I printed the manual and started going through it. I have also looked at some of the tutorials on the Ulead site. Several plugins are mentioned in the manual and also in the tuturials and they seem to be missing. For example, the bevel effect "Hollow" and the Global effect "Fire". These are not the only ones missing but just an example. Since the manual says version 3.0 I assumed everything would be included.

Does anyone know how to get these plugins?

Thanks

Not necessarily. The version that is bundled with VS is not a full version. Bundled versions may not include all the features or plug-ins. Sadly the manuals are not written for each version, especially the freebie versions.

The full version is Cool 3D 3.5. http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 7441134065

Thanks Ron,

I thought that might be the situation. I'm going to download trial versions of V3.5 and PS to see if I would use either of these versions enought to justify the price. I only dabble with this for my own enjoyment, not for profit.

Will I need to uninstall V3.0 before installing V3.5? Also, what about installing C3dPS?

Also, do you know if I would qualify for an upgrade to PS?

Joyce,

I'm not 100% sure, however I do believe that 3.0 does qualify for upgrading to PS. I tried to confirm this, however Corel does not have the qualifying versions posted. Ulead does, but for the last 3 days, I've been unable to access their site.

You should not need to uninstall 3.0 Most all of Ulead's program's co-habit on a system very well. The TBYB (trial) versions are the only ones we highly recommend uninstalling before installing full versions.
