Problem installing DVD menu plugin for PI12

When I install the Plugin, I get the message that the correct version for the plugin could not be found. When PI12 is running and I try to install the plugin I get a message to close P12 before installing the plugin. I do know that the installation cannot run while the program is running.

I have the full boxed version of PI12 and use WinXP with SP2 as my OS.

For what version is the plugin meant for?

I cannot find the "Official" version 12 plug in on the Ulead Server.
However you can download a copy that i have tested with PhotoImpact 12 by following This link.

Thank you for your quick response I did download your plugin and will try it out.

Previously I downloaded the "official" version 12 plug in and it is available at the ulead site: http://www.ulead.com/pi/plugin.htm, but that was the one I had trouble to install.

Sorry I downloaded everything but nothing works I suppose I gave up. Seems to me you have to buy PIx3 but why I just bought ver12 one month ago that too much I will enjoy everything else that the application offers. Thanks.

When you say nothing works do you mean you installed it but cannot find it in the program?

1. You can only use the DVD Menu Maker when you actually have a DVD Menu open in the PhotoImpact Editor
2. The DVD Menu Maker is found in the menu bar under "Effects"

Yes I know where to find it, but I cannot install the plugin I just get the same message when I run the intallation as described earlier.

I see you have more than one hard drive.
Where did you install the program - did you accept the default locations suggested by the installer or have you changed it to somewhere else?

When I run the application file I get a message that PI 12 or the correct version is not installed on my computer. So what I then did I open PI12 to see if the installation recognizes the program and it did, because if I do so I get an error message (which I expect)that I must close the program before I can install the plugin. The program is installed in the default location C:\program files\Ulead\ etc. I am really disappointed as I tried the DVD menu from the trial X3 version. As I previously said I bought the boxed PI12 from a dealer after I used the X3 trial because X3 was not yet available in SA. Thanks for your interest.

Have you tried the one I zipped up here:

The zip file is set up to extract the files to the following location
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead PhotoImpact 11\plugin\MDT

You need to modify this so that the files are extracted to

C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead PhotoImpact 12\plugin\MDT
