I have what I think is a very unusual question. I purchased 11.5 plus recently. I already had version 8 and 10. I uninstalled everything and put the install CD in one of my two CD/DVD drives. It won't launch the installation routine. I can't see anything on the disk at all. It appears blank. I tried it in the other drive and get the same result.
I put the cd in a different computer and it launches fine. Here is the kicker. I put the version 10 cd in my drive it launches fine. I put music cd's in and they play fine. Only this 11.5 plus CD won't work.
Any thoughts?
Thanks...Jester

Welcome to the forums,
Don't know why your CD/DVD drives is not reading the disc, but the other PC does. Since the disc can be read from another PC, that would eliminate the disc being bad, and point to a problem with your optical drives, possibly just not liking the media brand used in making the VS11+ discs. However if you can network to the PC that is able to read the Disc, try copying the disc contents to the HDD on your PC that will not. Then run the Setup.exe file to install.

THANKS...
Thank you. Wish I had thought of that. Still troubling that my latest greatest PC won't see the disk that my old laptop will. This got it done.
