video studio 8 NTSC & PAL

Can anyone help me with the configuration of VS8 in respect of NTSC or PAL
I installed VS8 and selected PAL for my format on installation but when I go to the "Share" drop down menu all it shows is NTSC formats
I have tried to change the preferences and the project properties but still only get the NTSC menu.
I previously had the PAL menu before I re installed VS8

When I install VS 8 (either the first install or subsequent reinstalls), in the set-up screen I ALWAYS first select my country, and then go down to the TV system box and check 'PAL' as well. That way I have never had the problem of VS slipping into the wrong region.

I concur with Ken. I have just recently installed Ver 9 which I got from the U.S.A. and chose Country first and then PAL. No problems.

Well I tried exactly what you said and selected the Country first then PAL but it still installed defaulting to NTSC?
I aslo tried clearing out all the registry entries of video studio to make sure nothing was retained but it made no difference>
I have just installed the same discs on another windows XP and it worked perfectly ?
Any further ideas?
