I opened the first two .zip files and copied the files within to Ulead. I now have a total of 53 menus within the templates palette when I go to create the AVCHD disk.
Not knowing Uleads folder structure and what goes where it took me awhile to figure out what to place where but it seems to have worked...which is more than I can say for burning the disk, still.
I got a 2 minute test clip to burn just fine with menus but when I try to do the exact same thing with the entire 37 minute video...CRASH!
I've got a 3.89 GB file which I'm burning to a 4.7 GB DVD so that should be fine. Plenty of room on my hard drive for the temp files.
Trying it again overnight.

Thanks, but I am afraid you have somewhat missed the point. As I understood it, Steve was kindly adapting some of the standard definition menu templates for high definition since there were only 6 high def templates. The files which you and I downloaded were supposed to contain those extra high definition templates and associated buttons, and they are supposed to go into the HDBasic sub-sub-sub-sub(well you get the idea) folder... But in the files I downloaded, at least, there were only corrected versions of the exisiting HDBasic templates 5 and 6 and their associated buttons. Nothing extra...

Well following this thread I thought here is a chance for a freebie! because I bought online with Corel and then didn't give me any bonus...
I unpacked the folders and manually placed them in the tree structure as I have ulead not in the default folders.
When I then used Movie Wizard and selected Bluray I had a bunch more templates than I had before
I have 2 HD basic I only had 1 before but it is not 1 of the two!
Smart menu I have 16, I don't think I had any before
Text Menus I have 21
The folder structure is a bit weird

Ken,
Please double check you have extracted to the correct locations.
VideoStudio 11.5+ only contains 6 "Basic HD" Menu Templates
What I did was copy the Standard Templates to the HD Directories maintaining the standard directory structure, then I resized them to the HD specifications.
Here is a screen shot of the 3 zip files.
HDMenus1.zip contains the corrected 2 existing menus where the word Title had been mis-spelled it also contains the Smartscene templates.
(One Scene Button)
HDMenus2.zip contains the thumbnail templates (Scene Button)
HDMenus3.zip contains the text only templates (Text Button)
You should now find that when selecting a HD / AVCHD or Blue-Ray Menu Format that the drop down list now contains these templates.

Previously nothing in the drop down box other than the 6 HD Basic would appear. It is perhaps not immediately obvious because if you had selected a SD DVD then those templates appear anyway. All I have done is extend the SD templates to the HD templates.

Hi Ken
I probably did not explain myself clearly in my last post. It was after midnight, at least that's the excuse I'm sticking too.
I do know what you're talking about regarding "new HD templates". I did unzip the files and I do now have many more HD templates. As Steve said, they are HD versions of the standard templates.
I had to manually drag them from the unzipped folders into the Ulead folders.

Hy, I have one question... where can i find more those menu themes for creating menu in DVD? I only have 3 theme which was in Ulead when I install it and i downloaded 2 more from other post. I saw on this picture you have a nice themes, and i want to have it, toosjj1805 wrote:I checked my copy which has the 11.5 updates and can find 6.
These apply to AVCHD / HD and Blue Ray formats.
You can always make some from scratch
Alternatively if you select the EDIT Tab then you can select various layouts.
NOTE:
If you select a Smartscene template you will only be able to alter the buttons.
If you select a Text only template you can alter the buttons and layout.
If you select a thumbnail template you can alter the buttons, layout and frames.
EDIT
In fact I should be able to convert several of the SD templates in next to no time - I will post a link a bit later on.
