The first thing to determine is if the error occurs during
a. Authoring
or
b. Burning.
Try "burning" to hard drive folder rather than to disc. This will eliminate any errors during the authoring stage. If you are able to "burn" to the hard drive folder then please view DVD Burning / Playback issues

Right - we have ruled out the DVD Burner, the problem must be either in
a. The source material
or
b. MovieFactory.
To establish if the problem is MovieFactory try creating a small test project using different source material - something only a few minutes long will do.
Burn to a hard drive folder to avoid wasting any discs.
If this passes the test then you have a problem with your source material.
What is it, where did it come from, how big is it, what bit rates, what format.

If it will not burn to a folder or a DVD then the problem is either with the program or the source. Try the following
1. Try burning another source to a DVD folder. It's easiest to make it a nice short video clip, no menu or fancy stuff. If it burns then you know the problem is the source file.
If it is the source file you might be able to work around it by taking the file that is causing the problem and using the 'export video' feature. Change the format of the video and see if that fixes it. (In sreen 1 of DVDMF load the file, then right click on it and choose "export video" now make sure you export it into a different format than the original. This may get rid of the 'corruption'. Now try using the new file and makeing the DVD folder.
If that doesn't work:
2. Try re-installing DVDMF. If it worked before and it stopped something must have changed. Try a reinstall and see if that fixes it.
Good Luck,
JCB
