I lowered the bit rate for the resultant mpeg file to 5120 -- Oddly the file ended up at about 2 gig, for the full 2 hours. G-Spot still claims it's a VBR and that it's running about 2706 kb/s -- Which would correspond to the 2 gig size (or thereabouts).
This is kind of annoying. The original files were interlaced, could this have anything to do with the reason MSP 7 acts very strange? I mean on the whole the mpeg should be running about 4.something -- at 5120 kbps for the bit rate.
I'm going to try deleting and recreating a new dvp file with 5120 and see what happens then.
Please someone, any ideas of why it generates wildly different results? 6144 to 5120 should not put a 5.6 gig file down to 2.1gig...
