I've been using VS 7 for more than a year and found it to do everything I needed. I've made dozens of movies without any problem. Now when I edit a movie and then share it, everything goes as normal to create a DVD and Video folders but the finished result has no audio. The original AVI files plays fine with audio. The ~convert.mpg file plays but also has no audio.
The only thing I know I did on my system was to delete Norton Systemworks and all the files. I've tried to totally reinstall all of VS 7 and the VS7 patch file. The program seems to run fine but still no audio.
As I finish the create video file step and play the project, the audio is there and plays fine. I also see that somehow "Realplayer" is listed under >accessories>entertainment>RealPlayer,... as the only audio recorder. I don't know how this happened,.. maybe I should try re-install Windows XP. I'm at SP-1 and have not installed SP-2 yet.
Can someone give me a suggestion on where to look at my system and see what is corupted. Thanks in advance.
