copy DVD

Post by Gerhard »

I just installed a new internal DVD/CD writer Pioneer DVR-A09XL. My main use is copying CD’s and DVD’s. So far I can copy CD’s but not DVD’s.

It came with a Pioneer DVR-A09 Software Installation DVD. I installed from there:
Ulead DVD Movie factory 3.5.
Ulead UDF Drivers and
DVD Workshop.
On the cover is also mentioned Burn. Now, but I cannot find it on the installation DVD.
When I try to copy a legitimate DVD, using Copy/Fit Disc in DVD Moviefactory,
I get the following message:
Ulead Copy. Now has encountered a problem and needs to close.

What do I need to do to copy DVD’s?

Thanks in advance, Gerhard

I have the same Pioneer drive, just plugged it in last night, can't copy, found your post from three days ago, 29 views, no replies. This sucks.
Can't seem to find any update either.
still looking,

Hi,

Windows should see the drive without any software.

If it does, then Ulead should be able to use it.

Are you trying to copy dvd's that you've made or burned or store bought (comercial) dvd'?

Called Ulead 1-310-896-6391. MovieFactory3.5 does not support Dolby audio format, which is used in PhotoStory3 (the DVD I wanted to copy). Therefore cannot copy this particular DVD

I have 3 DVD burners on my PC - TDK 8X, LG 16X & Benq 16X. MF4 only allows burning from my TDK & not from my other two Burners even though all 3 burners appears on the drive selection. Maybe it's because my TDK is the default burner I set in the Bios while the other 2 burners are on my RAID. I have no such problems when I used Nero or Sonic DVDit.
