adding music to video

Post by bhales »

I use Video Studio 9.0 to create videos and am finally getting to create videos I like. I've never before wanted to add music to my video. Now that I do, I can't make it work (have tried for several hours at this point - and read the documentation). According to the documentation, I have two options - "adding" and "importing" from a commercial CD. I load the CD, and Video Studio recognizes it. I select the track I want and push "record selected track." The program says "Cannot record the CD 15131:0:2". When I try "import from audio CD", nothing happens (again - it recognizes the CD and track I want). Can anyone help? Is it something I've not done or is this a bug within this version of Video Studio?

I had problems with an earlier version of VS (don't remember if it was v9) when it came to importing from CDs. My problem, though, was that it would cut off a portion of the song, making it unusable. I simply resorted to ripping the song with another application then importing it into VS.

Hi bhales

I don¡¦t normally use VS to import my audio, I have tried using VS 9 and everything seems ok.

I use Real Player to rip the CD audio to my hard drive then import to the library.

Try another program to rip the CD, if it still fails then the problem is probably not VS but your pc.
At least it should eliminate one or the other.
