Cannot Play DVDs

Post by Flossi »

Hi folks, When I have edited & burnt a DVD it works perfectly on my Sony DVD Recoder connected to the TV. When I try to play it via the Computer ie. Media Centre , the blue screen appears I select play DVD the 'picture ' of th disk moves to the centre of screen, a 'revolving ring ' appears, stops after 5 secs then screen goes black. When I try a DVD that has not been proccessed through my VS 11+ it plays OK.Please Help Flossi.

Do you know what the properties are of the disc you are trying to play? Specifically at what bitrate did you set VS to burn at.

Also what type of DVD disc did you use to burn? -R +R -RW +RW?

Hi Flossi,
Just from what you say the first thing I would try is to burn the same project to a different type of disc, possibly a -R as it has the highest compatibility.
The problem may be that the disc is actually fine but ytour disc reader in the computer is having trouble with the -RW.
