VS 11.5 plus - Preview Window dim when in Clip-Project mode

Post by Delcole »

Having recently installed VS 11.5 plus, which worked perfectly at first, I now find that when bringing a library clip to the timeline the display in the Preview Window is fine but when playing in both 'Clip' or 'Project' mode the picture appears very dim and whilst it is just discernible it is impossible to edit with. I am assured that the graphics board is working ok. I have used VS since the fifth edition and have not come across this phenomenon before. I have tried reinstalling the program without success. Is there some way that brightness can be brought back in the 'Project Window' for both 'Project' and 'Clip', please ?. I have searched the Forum and cannot find a similar problem.
Can anybody help, please. Delcole.

Sorry. First time I have heard this one. The preview screen is not great in terms of quality, but of all the complaints about it, brightness has not been one of them -- at least not to the point that the image is barely discernible..
