Video Stream Error

Post by Micki »

I'm having the same problem as 'davedawn' is. Is there no cure for this. Should I e-mail Ulead about it.

Any advice would be appreciated

If you are having the same problem as someone else who has already posted here, why didn't you add your query to that thread, instead of starting a new one which requires us to go searching for the other thread???

I deleted lots of thumbnails from the video folder at once but now each time I start Video Studio I get a message saying 'Load from Stream Error' & lots of white boxes with an x in them.

Help would be appreciated

Can you be more specific.

What video folder?

Was it the library thumbnails or the folder on the hard drive.?

You could try re-installing the program again, choose repair from the install screen.

You may loose the library content, the library may restore to its default images.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm very new to Video studio but this is what happens.
When the programme started up before this happened, the left hand side showed the thumbnails.
I tried to delete about 20 at the same time & that is when the error message came up. I have to keep pressing the return key for the white boxes to finish loading before I can do anything. If I press edit it goes into edit but once again the error box comes up & I have to load more white boxes up.
I hope this explains my problem.
If you think I should reinstall, I will

It may be best to re-install, choose repair from the install options.

I am away from the pc till mid afternoon.

Good luck

Video Studio 9 but as I've been impressed with it I ordered 11 yesterday but in a box so I haven't got it yet.

I've done a reinstall twice and now I can't do anything at all. The error message is there all the time!

I did notice that when I reinstalled it advised me to do a 'smart download' I tried to do this but the download file just flashed up & then disappeared.

Should I delete everything that says ulead video studio & do another reinstall. It didn't come up as 'repair'

Have I really messed up

Hi Micki

Close Video Studio

Your library files are here:-

C:\Documents and Settings\USER NAME\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\9.0

The video library file is called VS_Video.dat
The image library file is called VS_Image.dat
And so on..........

If you re-name the video file to say Copy VS_Video.dat

Then start Video Studio 9
The library file will be recreated as new.

Your Video library section should show the default thumbnails.
If all is well delete the copy VS_Video.dat

Great, glad its working.

Sorry don¡¦t know about the smart download, unless its to help downloading the purchased Video Studio program. Afaik (Smart Download allows you to continue downloading even if there has been a break in downloading) In which case you would not need to re-install.

Library, do you realise you can create your own library pages?????????

PS I think VS 9 was the best version I have used so far, not used VS 11 as yet.
