What is the best video card for an NLE system?

I need to use AGP and want the best video card any suggestions?

Besides the ones that include capture devices(add-on) and/or dual monitor(not required) support the choice of video card makes no difference.

If you are into gaming, any one of the 'best' video cards will make a tremendous difference. If you are not a gamer, any one of the 'best' video cards will be a waste of money.

You need to consider your monitor, does it require an analog signal or does it take a digital signal? If analog, the signal has limitations, while if it is digital, does it require a DVI-D or a DVI-I signal? If it takes DVI-D, you will have a problem in getting an appropriate card.

As you can see, if you open that box, you will be in for some hard and possibly costly learning experiences. I have unfortunately traveled that road.

Truly Wise responses. Appreciate the pandora effect warning. i will just stay with a 64mb Ati9000 AIW AGP for now. It seems to do ok.
