Crash during import of an image

Post by advad »

Hey everybody,

I have Ulead Studio 11 (german version - hope there is no difference :-) and it crashes during an import (loading it under the category images) of an image at the size of 10x10 (format bmp, gif or jpg) with just one color.

Importing an image with more than one colo is no problem.

I have tested it on serveral computers with different hardware (not older than 12 months).

The error file shows the following output.

Does anyone please have an idea or a solution

Thanks in advance

Achim,

Perhaps I'm confused, but why are you trying to import a picture with just one color? Why not just use Color located in the Gallery. You are not by any means restricted to using just those colors, you can use any color that you like. First drag a color to the timeline, then change the color of the clip on the timeline. This way you won't affect the colors already in the library. Once you have changed the color you can drag it from the timeline back to the library to reuse again in other projects or again in your current project.

Hope this helps,

You are right. If I just want to draw a uni colored box than I can use the colos. But I just played around with some different image pieces (of a complete image) and on of them was just with one color. So that was the reason why I came to this.

I wonder if I did something wrong or if this is a problem of the program. (Anyway I think it should not crash). I hope that adding an images (even it is just based on one color) does not have any affect to the colors within the gallery.

But thank you for the quick response.

Achim,

OK, so I was confused! I'd like to try to replicate what you did and see if I get the same problem. When you say 10x10, is that in pixels? Just asking because it could be that you mean something else like cm. Also, would you mind posting one of the pictures in your reply? That way I could use the same picture as you to test this problem.
