DVD Menu Problems
I am currently running Video Studio 11 plus and have created my menus using PhotoImpact 12. I have made a few using a smart scene section. And I applied it to the 4x3/One Scene Button folder. It seemed to work ok the first time I applied it with the video and burned it. I had to do some editing with the menu so i download a new menu from PhotoImpact. And that worked sort of ok. Though I notice that the menu isn't saved that well with the video and you have to adjust it everytime you go back in to burn a new video. Now as I have made a few changes (renaming the new menu files, thus creating a new menu each time) it has come to the point where it won't even move on to burn the disk from the create menu page. It seems to get progressively more mixed up as you change to new menus. Even ones permanently in VS11+. Is there any way to separate the menu from the video and start from scratch? I tried to copy the video timeline to a new video but it seems to carry the menu info with it. The menu program seems a little shaky and there doesn't seem to be control over what you are doing as in saving it or removing it from the editing portion of the video you have created. One last note is that I did reload VS11+ just to make sure my menu editor wasn't hanging but that didn't help. Any thoughts here. Thank you

I am not quite sure what the problem is that you are having.
Perhaps you can let me know the name of the original Menu Template is that you have based your custom menu upon.
I get the impression that you have chosen a menu with a video playing in the background and want to know how to separate it. If that is correct there are two options.
1. From within the DVD Menu Wizard in PhotoImpact

alternately
2. From within VideoStudio

As above
Thank you for your help sjj1805. Yes that was quite simple. I am always looking for something hard and miss the simple menu items. And thanks for all your hard work in this forum. You answer a lot of questions and that takes an enormous amount of time.
