Viewing HD Folder using WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray

Post by mjb »

Ok so I don't have a blu-ray player but figured I'd burn either blu-ray or hd-dvd folders onto my hard drive and view them.

Then I realized I would need newer dvd software to be able to view these formats so I purchased WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray. But I can't get it to read either my blu-ray folder or my hd-dvd folder from my hard drive (that was created via VideoStudio 11). Can anyone help me?

mjb,

Why not just create a WMV-HD file? Yes, VS can do that. My four year old HP Media Center computer can even play those and they look great! Plus, then you can share them with family and friends.

Hope this helps,

There's many ways to make great looking, highly compatable video files but I looking for a way to have something containing menus and chapters

mjb,

Ahh, I didn't realize that you were wanting menus and chapters, that does change things. :D

Since this seems to be more of a WinDVD question, I suggest that your post your question there. Same board different forum.
