I just downloaded the new 11.5 pro version and trying to edit a 15 mg HD movie ( I own version VS 10 ). When I move the slider to forward and or go backwards I can hear the sound however the video in the Preview Window is not keeping up with the sound.
The pictures are ver slow and stop and go, any ideas what might be the problem?

First, have you downloaded and installed the 6 November 2007 update patch for VS11 and the 8 November Power Pack. Both are available on the Ulead.com > Download website. You may think you bought VS11.5+ but in fact you only bought VS11 and have to add those two things to get to VS11.5+. Or have you downloaded the trial version (in which neither patch will work)?
And what kind of HD are you talking about. What camera did it come from? If it is in AVCHD format, for instance, that is the most demanding of computer resources, and while you might think your computer has sufficient resources, in fact the minimum requirement to play back AVCHD smoothly is a Core 2 Duo and preferably Core 2 Quad. A Dual Core processor is probably on the borderline.
Given that you are using the VS preview screen, if you are indeed using AVCHD video, then I am not surprised that you are getting a poor response from the video. In fact, to be on the safe side, I would suggest you activate SmartProxy. It will take some time to create the proxy (standard definition temporary files). But once they are created, you can edit them and they will react quickly just like standard definition files, but in reality, the edits you make are applied to the High Def files as well.

Thanks Ken
Thank you for your reply Ken,
I did indeed downloaded the updates and I have the proxcy enabled. I do not have a quad core processor and I used the Sony Vegas 8 demo and had no problem previwing any movies.
I used Ulead sinze version 6 and had some problems but never had problems with editing ( this was even with older computers ).
I have a Canon HG10 camcorder using the AVCHD format. Thats why I purchased VS 11.5. Ulead is advertizing that this format is supported and does not require a Quad core processor per there specifications.
I am very disapointed with this program if indeed I cannot use it to edit my movies.
