Version problem

Post by manish2535 »

I downloaded the new 11.5 version but after i install it and check the version it says 11.0.XXX. And are the power packs and the patch meant for 11.5 or do they also work for 11.0??

You should have received instructions from Corel. But yes, go to the Ulead website Ulead.com and find the Download page. Follow the prompts to updates for VS11. You must download and install first the update patch dated 6 November 2007, and then the Power Pack of 8 November. Then you will find that you have version 11.5.0157.2 Plus (if indeed you actually bought the plus version...)

djmorgan,
Yes the version number should end with a 2 if you have installed the update and the power pack.

manish2535,

Did you download VS11 or VS11plus? Also did you purchase it, or just the trial (TBYB)? Updates will not install to trial versions. The Power Pack will only install to the plus version.

No I purchased what I thought was the full 11.5 version, instructions by Corel are like their support, hard to find! I then found when I installed the program that it was version 11+ then I had to load the patch which brought it up to 11.5.

I missed the other patch! as my version is working fine I'm loathed to load the missing patch over the top in case it breaks it all

It is possible that it may break it..However when they were first released I did manage to do it backwards, ie; install the power pack and then the update..
