Hi, Yesterday I installed the product and no problem. After installation I noticed my explorer turning off frequently ( every 10-20 seconds) and then popping back up after about 3 seconds or not at all and me having to turn it on manually
I didn't have time to look it up and had to go but this morning when I went to the computer explorer problem was still bugging me so I did the following
1. Complete Virus Scan on all computer
2. System Restore, but the restore point was saved AFTER installation sadly
3. Uninstalled the program Gif Animator, Although it did ask me if I wanted to keep 2 registry files that might not be needed anymore or if I wanted to delete them.
Being silly I didnt write down the names on the reg. Files so now I kind of need to know which Registry files the program installs.
I have tried to install again and uninstall again but it did not work, it didnt give me the option to delete them.
Either this prog. is unholy or my windows has problems with those two registry files, I'm guessing the second one so if anyone could tell me that'd be superb!

No idea what those two registry entries could be.
I've never heard of or encountered the issue you experienced. You don't mention which version of GA 5 you installed (download of GA 5 only, or whether part of a PhotoImpact install), nor your version of Windows. Completing the System information in your profile could also be useful.
Is your computer still having Explorer issues since uninstalling?

I must say I downloaded it from thepiratebay for I do not know if this is a product I would want and such. However When running through options on start up I was going to choose ReBoot later but I forgot, I did however
Safe Mode

Last Known Conf.
Safe Mode with command promt.
And I think thats it now.

Considering the source of your download, I would not be surprised if you've picked up a little something extra. Even though your virus scan didn't note anything, that doesn't mean there isn't an extra something that came along. No AV product will catch everything.
Ulead/Corel has a free trial version you could have downloaded, but it's a bit late for that now. As to whether GA 5 is a good program, I far prefer it over Animation Shop, ImageReady or any other GIF animation programs I've tried.
If booting with "last known safe..." doesn't work... About all I could suggest at this point it to do a repair of Windows, so get that XP installation CD out, and boot with that. Use the System Recovery console. If you need help beyond this advice, I think you'll have to seek that elsewhere.
Best of luck!
