Failed to initalize video capture plug-in

Post by fluffy »

Hi I,m Running VS11 with updates, Vista Home Prem, ATI Radeon x1300, 4gb ddr2, dual core pentium. Fresh install of vista, drivers etc..
My problem is "Failed to initalize video capture plug-in.Another program may be using it or the file has been moved.
Open driver failed
Cannot create the video capture filter
[15200:43:0]
[15023:4:2]
I have looked to change the capture plugin but only have one in the list "IVI capture component" unlike previous versions, can I install others?
This software was purchased, downloaded, and burnt to disk, could the files be currupt.

Erm.... capturing what?

DV from a mini DV camcorder perhaps - if so don't use that free USB cable they gave you but get an IEEE1394 firewire cable.
