Banji,
Please read this post Show A "Digital Stopwatch" On Screen....
This filter was created some time ago and its compatibility with VS11 is flaky. For me (and I have XP not Vista), the timecode won't show when I preview the Clip or the Project. It does however show up when I choose Create Video File.
Also, if you choose to use this filter, it relies on the length of the video for where it will begin its countdown. So if, for example, your clip is 25 seconds long but you only want to countdown the last 10 seconds, go to where the last 10 seconds begins and select the scissors icon and then apply the filter to the appropriate clip.
