PE4 "magic cube" not in PI 10

Post by Hank »

I had a Web util in my PhotoExpress 4.0. Since then, I have moved to several versions of PhotoImpact and noticed it doesn't have the "magic cube". Presently I am using PImpact 10.

The magic cube "web utility" in PhotoExpress 4.0 would take an image and make an animated Rubiks (sp?) Cube type GIF.

I hate to install PhotoExpress 4.0 just for this one item which is really neat unless I have to. PhotoImpact 10 is so useful, I'd prefer that I could do the "magic cube" without installing PE 4

Has anyone found it in any program other than PExpress 4.0?

Thanks,

Hank

Haven't seen that one but I'd sure like to! Might have to check Ebay and see if anyone has it. If it were me, I'd just reinstall the program. It can't be all tha big.

MaryLouW,

I did do the re-install, but it is a real pain to do. You need a "previous" version of a Ulead program to have it allow the install as it was an update that I had bought at the time.

It won't recognize the fact that I have PI 10 installed. Just a lot of messing around for the one function that I was hoping was hidden somewhere in PI 10. Seems it wouldn't be too difficult to port the code over to it.

SO, let's hope for it being added sometime.

Well, since PhotoExpress and PhotoImpact are two different programs, I can understand why it might not be in PI10. It hasn't been in any of the versions of PI that I know of.

I just downloaded the trial version of PhotoExpress 4 so I could see what you meant and wow.. I like it!!! I have PhotoExpress My Scrapbook 2.0 which appears to be the same program (newer version ) but alas, it doesn't have this cube feature. Too bad I can't export it from the older version and import into the newer!

I would love to see it as a filter in PhotoImpact!!
