Audio Filter Freeze UVS 11

Post by San_kev »

Hi...
When I add a Audio Filter to an wma or mp3 (Stadium, Echo...) I can hear it on Preview Clip; but when I play the Project, I don't even hear any audio, I have to remove the filter then the audio is back, when I put back the filter UVS11 freezes and Crush.

Seems that I 'm limited to edit the effect witha different AudioEditing program.

Any comments? Thank you guys

I've had the same problem with VS's audio filters. I have not been able to figure out why, and how to correct it, so like your resort to other means..

Check out the Free Stuff for Ulead products. There you will find audio filter plug-ins that you can use directly from within VS - and they are much better than the ones supplied by VS.

Thank you guys
Seems that we have to wait or stick with 3rd party softwares.

I've also noticed the same problems with usings the plug-ins, e.g. not wanting to play during Project preview when I recently was working on creating a video tutorial. I worked around this by using Create Audio File and inserting the audio file back into the project. Fortunately it's fast and easy, although it would be nice if this problem were fixed. If you're looking for an external audio editor, I highly recommend Audacity, it's free and does a fantastic job. Also here's a link to some of my favorite, again free, VST plug-ins that you can use with VS: Kjaerhus Audio Classic Series. Check out Classic Reverb abd Classic Delay. They also have a nice user interface and some good presets. If you need to know how to "plug" them into VS see my tutorial Understanding and Using Audio Filters.

Hope this helps,
